We are pleased to introduce you to the individuals who work behind the scenes at Balmacara Mains. Its shaping up to be a busy year and we are grateful to our truly exceptional team who make this possible.

Lucy Grimson We are delighted to announce the arrival of our new Manageress. Lucy is a friend of the familly, and we are really confident she is the person to take Balmacara Mains to the next level. A fresh focus on all the things we deliver already, and the addition of services and secondary activities will follow. She will help us make sure we are great employers, good business partners and lastly but most importantly wonderful hosts!

Dede MacGillivray, head chef- The art of breakfast- Dede this year has made our breakfasts Michelin noteworthy and the Wedding parties have eaten like Kings ( and Queens ). Dede was the chef at Townhouse Studios in London, has directed a fantastic event catering company and has been a private chef at the US Masters and the British Open.

Gillian Souter She comes to us with rich experience in quality hospitality. Gillian, warm, cheerful and always pleased to help, multi tasks through the day to help us deliver the best service level we can. You will find that nothing is too much trouble to Gillian- she goes the extra mile with a smile! 

Lucy Baker We got very lucky when we found Lucy last year- Lucy is a most dynamic young person . With a great work ethic, and a cheerful positive character she is the glue that holds the ship together. Go Lucy!

Norman will continue to Manage and Host the front of house. Yes he is the best host on the planet, the guest books bear witness to his impact on your stays. His canny way of getting a laugh and putting people at their ease and relating intellectually has built such a fantastic repeating custom of "friends". " What a fantastic Man " he will be assisted by Mathew MacRae "a fantastic young man" who is on a working holiday from Montreal, we had a lot of fun last year and he's back for more. There is a lot of wear and tear on piano keys when these two are around!
Rachel Sandilands.  Rachel will continue to add some of our favourite shots to our 'flickr' site and our latest projects this year particularly the development of our wedding marketing. After several enjoyable and very successful weddings this year we have resolved to focus on making these happy events as "perfect" as we possibly can. So far so great!

Iain Craig will be dealing with booking queries, future online marketing and improvements to our website. He has already transformed the operations for the good and watch out for our new website- going live this Autumn post season.
