We are pleased to introduce you to the individuals who work behind the scenes at Balmacara Mains. Its been a busy year so far and we are grateful to the team who have made this possible.
Dede MacGillivaray is the new head breakfast chef. We are delighted that Dede has chosen to come and take on the position. Dede was the chef at Townhouse Studios in London, has directed a fantastic event catering company and has been a private chef at the US Masters and the British Open. More recently, Dede has been chef at Kinloch Lodge, and has been working for the Skye and Lochalsh food link, an organisation that serves the area's businesses and households by promoting and supplying fresh local food from the area's artisan producers. We hope to improve our offerings for special events and parties and raise the standard further with her at the helm.
Gillian Souter, is the new multi tasker. Dede will be complimented by Gillian. She comes to us with rich experience in quality hospitality.
Helen Watt is still our anchor as Relief Manager and Head Housekeeper and will head a team of 3 who will bring the high quality finish to your accommodation. We are delighted that we go forward together.
Norman will continue to Manage and Host the front of house.
Rachel Sandilands will tackle various projects. Our tomato and herb greenhouse is one such project underway. Look forward to fresh, homegrown tomatoes on your plate this summer. Rachel will continue to add some of our favourite shots to our 'flickr' site.
Iain Craig will dealing with booking queries, future online marketing and improvements to our website.
We are all motivated to make sure you enjoy the Highlands and look forward to giving you the warmest of welcomes.
