A variety of great musical festivals and performances take place throughout the year; regular sessions in local hotels (ask Jann or Norman), Highland music festivals in the Summer and Autumn months and Royal Scottish National Orchestra's tour of the North.

Language
Gaelic is the language that names, in glorious detail, the mountains, lochs, streams and villages around us here and is part iof the diversity that makes Scotland an interesting place to be. Lochalsh, from Loch Aillse, itself means 'Loch of the Spirit', Beinn na Caillich the mountain that faces us, means 'The Mountain of the Old Woman'' and Glaick, from An Glac, means 'The Hollow'...Sounds a bit magical!
