By Road On the main road from Inverness (A87) distances to the Mains are as follows;
Inverness 1.5 hours, Glasgow 3.5 hours, Fort William 1 hour, Aberdeen 3.75 hours
By Train
Kyle of Lochalsh station is 3 miles from us and is the end of the West Coast line from Inverness which has a sleeper service from London Euston. Check www.scotrail.com for train times and www.city-link.co.uk for bus times. If you require collection from the train or bus please let us know.
By Air Direct flights to Inverness fly from London Gatwick, Heathrow and Luton, Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol. Inverness airport is 1.75

Driving instructions
We are 1/2 mile off the A87 from Inverness to Isle of Skye.
From Inverness
Follow 82 towards Fort william, at invermossison turn right onto A887 which turns into the A87 allways follow signs west for Kyle of Lochalsh/Isle of Skye (A87) then as below.
From Fortwilliam
Follow A82 ( inverness to Invergarry, turn left onto A87 signposted Kyle and Isle of Skye ) then as below.
Then....We are 3 miles before Kyle, or ( 4 ish after Eilean Donan Castle ). You will see signposts for Glaick and The National Trust Woodland Gardens. look for our signs, Turn left here. Follow the driveway downhill left turn 100yards before the shorefront.

You will pass landmarks on the way here; Eilean Donan Castle 4 miles away, Balmacara Hotel in the village of Reraig is 1 mile before our turn off, signposts for Plockton and Balmacara before proceeding 400 yards uphill ( the first proper hill climb after the castle )and finally turning left off the A87 at the signs for Balmacara Mains, Glaick and The National Trust for Scotland.
